Happy International Women's Day!

Happy International Women's Day! We celebrated our first Women's Day last year in Kazakhstan and were stunned by what a big deal it is over there - it's a national holiday! So we decided to bring a little celebration back here to the U.S. of A. and Sash and I went out for cocoa and a cupcake at Starbucks. Perfect.

In honor of International Women's Day, our first early bulb of the season burst into bloom yesterday - how very thoughtful! This was supposed to be a sweet mini photo shoot of Sasha and the first flower of the season...

...but she decided that it was more entertaining to throw bark into the street. Oh well, I guess that Sporty Sasha (that sounds nicer than "Destructo Sasha") replaces Sweet Sasha in the Women's Day photo shoot!

To all of the strong, soft, encouraging, prayerful, playful, and incredibly beautiful women in our lives, Happy Women's Day!

I had not heard of that holiday-and am keeping it quiet around this place! My 4 would be THRILLED to think they should rule the world for a day, hahaha!! andwe have to do reports every year till Z turns 18 as well, just on our own though and not with a visit from a social worker. What if parents of ALL children had to do that??? hmm, maybe people would think twice about getting pregnant, ha!!!

And happy International Women's Day to you and Sasha :-)

One of my colleagues, who is Greek, walked around the office on this lovely holiday and gave a single rose to every single woman in our office. He apparently does that every year, but this is my first year with LWR so it was a really sweet surprise for me :-)
